Enzo’s Italian Market’s original owner Enzo LoRe, who was born in Sicily, brought all his favorite traditional Italian flavors and homemade specialties to Matthews in 2009 to establish the only authentic New York-style Italian market in the area. He poured his heart and soul into ensuring the Italian sausages he loved as boy in Italy and New York made their way to Matthews, NC. Enzo ran the business for 13 years at the Potter Road location until passing the store on to us. We are so excited to continue the Enzo’s story here in Matthews and our customer family is at the heart of it.

We grew up in a family of Italian cooks and restaurateurs, so the chance to take over Enzo’s passion and continue to make it available to you was a dream come true. We are passionate about continuing Enzo’s mission of giving our customers, authentic, premium quality foods, and committed to bringing the Italian food experience to the Matthews and Charlotte area – our goal is to take you back to
your Nonna's kitchen.

We continue to build on Enzo's vision by focusing on the expansion of our butcher shop, bakery/patisserie, prepared foods and catering, NY style deli, imported Italian wine offerings, and our assortment of gourmet groceries. Everything we do is either homemade, prepared fresh daily by our wonderful kitchen staff, or sourced directly from New York or Italy.
